Dear Centre Directors and Group Convenors,

Enrolments will be closing soon for our May intakes of The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Program, Evidenced-Based Clinical Fellowship Program and Clinical Leadership Program.

I would be most grateful if you would remind your networks.  As a brief overview:-

The Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Program is a fully facilitated and practical 1, 3 or 5 day program, depending on the participant’s area of interest.  Participants will learn how to conduct robust systematic reviews of different evidence types including, amongst others, quantitative and qualitative research, in order to provide the strongest possible evidence base to inform decisions.  By the end of the program participants will have learned how to develop a focussed question, search for relevant literature, appraise and synthesise evidence, and will have completed a protocol ready to commence a review.  The program is ideal for researchers in all fields.

In the 6 month Evidenced-Based Clinical Fellowship Program participants lead their clinical team in an evidence implementation project of their design, audit for improvement and publish their findings.  The program involves two five-day intensive training workshops at the Institute and a work-place evidence-based implementation project in the intervening months.  This program is ideal for clinicians from all disciplines who are passionate about patient outcomes and quality improvement.

The Clinical Leadership Program is a dynamic and interactive 1 day program delivered by a specialist leadership facilitator to assist participants in fulfilling their leadership potential.  Among many other skills, participants will learn how to create a positive and professional culture in their workplace, manage difficult behaviour, build productive teams and implement change, thereby successfully leading people and projects.  These valuable and transferable skills developed in the program can be applied beyond work, at home and at play.   This program is ideal for leaders or leaders-to-be from all sectors.

All programs are conducted at our headquarters in Adelaide.
